HELLO! My name is Gen Porter
I am currently in my Honours year of a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Visual Communication Design
at Massey University. I have been living in the beautiful but windy Wellington for the past three years.
For six months last year, I studied at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom as part of a student exchange. During this time, I traveled throughout the country and through parts of Europe.

Ever since I was young, I have always known that I want to pursue a career that is creative and that will enable me to grow as an individual. I see myself as a multi-faceted designer and a creative individual, who is always open to experiment with a variety of mediums - though I do particularly like working both with typography and illustration. I also enjoy the part of the creative process that involves problem solving and coming up with innovative ways to think and how we live our lives.
I believe that we as creative people have the potential to make a difference in the world. My more
recent projects have shown my passion for the environment and the motivation to change how we live
to better our future on this planet.
